PCRB has introduced an upgraded, interactive Volunteer Firemen Exposure Form (VFEF), replacing the prior flat-file submission process with a secure, system-integrated intake tool.
The new VFEF improves how volunteer fire company service-area data is collected, reviewed, and maintained, supporting greater accuracy and efficiency in the application of volunteer fire company classifications. The form is available on the PCRB website here.
By mapping data directly into PCRB systems, the enhanced form strengthens data integrity, supports automated renewal processes, and improves internal workflow—helping ensure population-based exposures for Codes 994 and 989 are current and complete. Members are encouraged to begin using the new VFEF immediately to support timely updates, consistent classification outcomes, and ongoing compliance.
