The PCRB has established a new program for circular distribution notifications. Previously, we limited enrollment to one individual per company or location, with the expectation that such individual would disseminate the information within their own group. Our new program will no longer require such limitations and allows subscribing and unsubscribing automatically through our website. Revised Volunteer Fire Company Population Estimates

Effective October 1, 2010 on a new and renewal business, the annual loss costs for volunteer fire exposure under Code 994, Volunteer Fire Company, will be based on revised population estimates promulgated by the Bureau of the Census for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as of 2008. ON DEMAND EDUCATIONAL SERIES "PCRB 101 BASIC OPERATIONS"

Starting June 1, 2010, the PCRB will introduce the first in a series of online educational programs that can be accessed on request and without charge on our website under “Seminars”. The first of this On Demand series of programs to be offered will be the PCRB 101 Basic Operations course. For more detail refer to Bureau Circular No. 1576.

The Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner has approved Manual revisions to Section 1, Rule IX, H. Pennsylvania Construction Classification Premium Adjustment Program (PCCPAP). These revisions are effective 12:01 a.m., October 1, 2010 with respect to new and renewal business only. For more detail refer to Bureau Circular No. 1573.

APRIL 1, 2010 LOSS COST APPROVAL

The Insurance Commissioner has approved revised loss costs and related rating values effective on a new and renewal basis as of 12:01 a.m., April 1, 2010. The Bureau’s filing is for an overall average increase of .68 percent in loss costs. For more detail please refer to Bureau Circular No. 1571.

SUBMISSION OF APRIL 1, 2010 LOSS COST FILING

The Bureau has submitted a filing of Pennsylvania loss costs, related rating values and Manual rule changes with a proposed effective date of April 1, 2010. That filing, Bureau Filing No. C-358, proposes an overall average loss cost increase of 0.68 percent. For more detail refer to Bureau Circular No. 1569.
