This Manual has been prepared by the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau (PCRB) and filed and approved by the Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner. The purpose of this Manual is to be a reference guide providing essential information relating to policy preparation rules and procedures, classification definitions, rating values and underwriting rules.
Manual Issuance
A new complete Manual will be issued with a specific effective date each time a change or addition is made to manual rules, definitions, procedures, classifications and/or rating values. The additions and/or changes that became effective on each Manual's effective date will be highlighted and linked to the appropriate PCRB Circular announcing the addition or change.
Effective Dates of Rating Values
When a new Manual is issued all rating values within the Manual will show the new Manual effective date at the top of the page. The new values for that date will be highlighted and linked to the appropriate PCRB Circular that announced the new values.
